This program has changed the way I view incarcerated individuals by reminding me of the humanity to be found within the walls of institutions. The people who are placed in prisons have lives beyond their criminal records, and they deserve to continue their lives (to a certain extent once again.
Inside Out has helped me understand how little society does for the people in our institutions. There are little to no resources, almost no funding, and a lack of community support for the people inside. Our world needs to move toward a rehabilitative and reintegration process in order to see lower crime because locking people in cages is not the answer.
